Repository (Self-Archiving) Policy

The Arab German Journal of Sharia and Law Sciences (AGJSLS) supports open access and the widest possible dissemination of published research. To this end, AGJSLS allows authors to deposit all versions of their work in an institutional or subject repository of their choice.

Versions Allowed for Deposit

Authors are permitted to deposit the following versions of their articles:

  • Preprint (version submitted prior to peer review)

  • Author’s Accepted Manuscript (version accepted for publication, post peer-review)

  • Published Article (Version of Record) (the final publisher’s PDF as it appears in the journal)

Embargo Policy

No embargo applies. Authors may make any version listed above available in repositories immediately upon acceptance or publication.

Licensing and Attribution

  • All deposited versions must clearly display the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, under which AGJSLS content is published.

  • Proper bibliographic citation of the Version of Record, including journal name, article title, author(s), year, issue, pages (if applicable), and the DOI or permanent URL, must be included with each deposit.

Copyright

  • The copyright in published articles is transferred to AGJSLS (Birne Publishing House), with authors retaining moral rights.

  • Published manuscripts are open access under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, permitting reuse for educational, research, and non-commercial library purposes.

Additional Notes

  • The final published version (Version of Record) must not be altered, except for repository-specific cover pages or metadata. No content modifications are allowed.

  • Any third-party material included in an article may not be covered by the article’s Creative Commons license and may require additional permissions for reuse.
